Welcome to our Equine Health Plan

Here at Abbey Equine Clinic we know that a healthy and happy horse requires care and attention, and we have created our Equine Health Plan to make preventive health care simple and affordable.

We have included vaccinations to protect your horse against dangerous diseases, a strategic worming programme and an annual check-up, as early diagnosis of health conditions will help your horse live a longer and healthier life.

Our Equine Health Plan is not Equine insurance. Although it is designed to complement it by covering treatment that is not covered by insurance and can be taken out even if your horse is not insured.

Please note: If you are a newly registered client, there will be a restriction on receiving the plan benefits, please speak to us at the practice for more information.

It covers the essential treatments your horse needs throughout their life. By spreading the costs of those essential treatments, it makes looking after your horse more affordable and gives you estimated savings of £110 each year.

£17.50 monthly fee includes

Annual ‘flu or ‘flu and tetanus vaccination booster
Annual health check (at the time of vaccination)
1 routine dental examination and rasp (sedation included) always by a veterinary surgeon per year
4 faecal Egg Counts (with a reminder service) with bespoke advice for your horse from a qualified SQP per year
1 tapeworm saliva test per year

In addition to this, our plan members will also receive the following benefits.

No administration charges for managing your horse insurance claims
No livery fees if your horse requires hospitalisation at the clinic (not for reproduction services)

There is a joining fee of £10.00 per horse owner, taken with the first Direct Debit.
